Project Settings
Configure and manage your project after creation. Update details, change visibility, manage client portal access, set invoicing currency, and more.
What You Can Configure
Access Project Settings
Open any project from your Projects page, then click the Settings button (gear icon) on the top right of the project detail page. This opens the full project settings view with all configuration options.
Update Cover Image
Upload a cover image to visually identify your project on the dashboard and portfolio. The recommended size is 960x540px. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF with a maximum file size of 1MB.
The cover image is displayed on your project cards in the dashboard grid and on your public portfolio if the project is set to public visibility.

Edit Project Details
Update the project name, client name, and client email. The project description uses a rich text editor and is displayed on your public portfolio page when the project is set to public.
Changes are saved by clicking the Save Changes button at the bottom of the form. The description has a maximum length of 1000 characters.

Set Currency
Each project has a currency setting that applies to all invoices created within that project. FreelioPro supports multiple currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, and many more.
Currency affects new invoices only
Changing the currency will apply to all new invoices created after the change. Existing invoices will retain their original currency.
Select your preferred currency from the dropdown and click Save Currency.
Control Project Visibility
Toggle between public and private visibility. Public projects appear on your portfolio page at freeliopro.com/your-username. Private projects are only accessible through the client portal link.
This is useful for showcasing selected work on your portfolio while keeping confidential client projects hidden from public view.

Manage Client Portal Access
Every project generates a unique client portal URL and password. You can copy both from the Client Portal Access section to share with your client.
If you need to reset access, click Regenerate to create a new password. This will invalidate the previous password immediately. Make sure to share the new password with your client.

Share the portal URL and password with your client to give them access to review and approve assets.
Delete a Project
The Danger Zone at the bottom of Project Settings allows you to permanently delete the project. This removes the project and all associated data including assets, invoices, and client portal access.
This action cannot be undone
Deleting a project will permanently remove all assets, invoices, timeline steps, and client portal access. The client will no longer be able to access the portal.
A confirmation dialog will appear before deletion to prevent accidental data loss.
